Okay so there really WAS an update (to the website) after the last post, but I didn't post about the ACTUAL update, so how would you guys remember? Super updating fail!
But anyway, I DID update the website, everything is tidied up and here are a few extra goodies to check out, aside from several new pieces!
NEW wordspell 'whispers'! These larger pendants have smaller text than the originals, and can fit whole phrases onto them! This one is available now, and more are to come!
There are also a number of items on SUPER $5 CLEARANCE. Seriously, get them out of my house.

So remember how one of my main reasons for going to Japan was to see Sena Jun aka Asako, my favorite Takarazuka star, before she retired?
On July 6th, Asako announced her retirement.
It's bittersweet. Even knowing it was coming, hearing it for real still makes me sad. I can't yet imagine her troupe.. or Takarazuka with her, but she's had an incredible run and she deserves time to herself now. And I fulfilled the life goal that I thought would be impossible of seeing her live, and I could not be more thankful that I was able to. ♥

I've found myself incredible comforted by excerpts like: "I want to go to the sea and spend some time with my dog, and take it easy." ♥♥♥ Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's glowing her glow in the conference photos. Ah, I love her. I love her and I want her to be happy, so I wish her all the best. The end. ♥
In other news, I had wonderful bbs living in my house for like 6 days! I want to do a massive photopost but I do not have time right now because I need to eat and clean the rat cage and shower and do a million other things. But sometime soon! Really! They're already all on facebook, which is progress!

I haven't had very much to say lately!
Last weekend's 4th of July visit to Jeff's was a lot of fun. Here are pictures if you're not feeling the whole "words" thing today.
Not The Good Kind Of Blur, With Damon Albarn. The last three weeks have been a blur. In my last semi-substantive entry, I talked about taking it easy for a couple of weeks, recharging, and learning some new stuff. Yeah fucking right. A couple of days after posting that, I got hammered with a bunch of work from clients. Which basically worked out okay anyway, because we do need the money.
Ooops, The Hard Drives Died. OB's server going down really bummed me out. I worked just about a full 24 hours straight on Monday to recover data and reinstall everything, while my current client had a justifiable conniption about the work that wasn't getting done. Everybody on OB was wonderful and supportive, which cheered me immensely despite knowing that I really let them and our hosted website customers down.
Or Maybe It Is A Train. I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel, though, and I don't think it's a train. Plan is to essentially work half-days today and tomorrow. Need to relax and spend some much-needed time with Steph. |

So I'm working on my new website. I really just want something simple so I can have just one place where all my work will live. I've been doing well, but I've hit a road block and need help from you guys!
I'm trying to do the About me section of the site..and I hate ABOUT ME stuff. I never know what people want to know about me. So it would be very helpful if you guys could ask me questions about things that might interest you, or tell me the kind of stuff you'd want to see in that section. Keep in mind I want to be able to use this as a professional portfolio, so no like raunchy questions etc.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me some ideas guys!!!

 Takuya Angel just came out with corset and kimono sleeves made out of obi fabric.
I thought I had some fabric like this (example in action)(specifically this).... .. but I can't seem to find my fabric. *______* rarrrr I don't have any obis I want to cannibalize either (and hot pink/hot blue obis aren't exactly common)
Takuya Angel is taking custom orders for them now S,M, and L (until the 12th)... but I'm worried that me being so tall, even the L would be a problematic fit, plus I'm trying to save money, so I'll just do something inspired by it. Hopefully I can find my corset pattern. I think it would be really fun to mix a corset like that with such vibrant blues and pinks and reds with other clothing.
I still really want one of these Takuya Angel haori/skirts though. BAD.... but can't afford it. Kinda kicking myself for not buying one last time I was in Tokyo... SOMEDAY... Takuya Angel, SOMEDAY!!!
.......... I really have to start on my Vampire Hunter D cape and bodysuit soon. I've been putting it off because I'm a bit intimidated by them, frankly... but ... really have to make some headway on those soon so that it will start looking like a costume. What's the phrase? "Still no clothes!" |

Those of you who are interested in going to see Harry Potter:
I have no idea how this is going to work, seeing as we're all over the place, but does anyone have a preference for a theater? Also, do we want to try to get tickets for the midnight show (if there are any left?) or just go on Friday? I don't know if people will dress up for weekend shows or not. I have a really nice theater by my workplace called The Bridge (they have assigned seats and director's cut rooms where there's an age minimum), but I think they're pretty much sold out for the midnight shows. I can get discounted tickets through work for any AMC theater; I do have to get to the theater box office to actually purchase them though.
Other stuff:
FMA 14 - End of stuff related to the first series. Manga-only plot begins this week! I'm excited to see how this goes. I have to say, there's definitely a lot more blood this time around (Greed's plot was whoh).
Naruto Shipuudden - The opening now has Team Hebi in it! *excited* I'm amused that Sasuke apparently warrents a cowboy guitar theme every time he's travelling.
True Blood - Crap, I'm two weeks behind now!
Comic Con - Some of the scheduling is up finally. I better go take a look and see. nerdcore mentioned a Venture Brothers panel...
Watched Wanted and Shaun of the Dead this past week. Both were LOL, though for different reasons. Wanted was full of WHAT THE CRAP HOLY COW BWAH? and Shaun of the Dead was just pffffffffffttt LOLOLOL. I got Tropic Thunder this week (yeah I'm way behind on movies). |

Some people close to me say that I'm an incredibly closed person. That I don't share my feelings and I'm really guarded. The truth is that I only feel strong if people believe me strong. I know that isn't healthy but its the way I'm wired. I don't believe in myself nearly as much as I should.
ok So I'm going to share something I've never shared before in an attempt to do something outside of my own comfort zone. I'm going to attempt not to make it something sad...
Some of you know that I recently took a risk and I'm now trying to deal with it. Having gotten no response has sapped the life out of me. My brain is already formulating scenarios of what the reason could be. none of them are positive.
I had a feeling that this might happen.
Then why'd I do it?
If you know me, you'll know that I tend to feel things rather intensely. You'll also know that I'm usually expecting to fail. and I'm largely unprepared for sucess. I was told when I was younger I have a fear of sucess. People fear success because they don’t know if they can live up to their achievements. They don’t think they’re good enough or smart enough. They're afraid they don't have what it takes to rise to the challenge, and they don't know if they can sustain their success. With all that known to me. I set out to do something different. I decided That I was unhappy with the status quo. So Feeling how I felt I decided to take action, albeit limited.
I did it because I felt it was worth doing. I'm not entirely the same person I was. I'm a little different. I'm finding myself exploring territories that i once feared. I'm approaching those territories with trepidation, but nonetheless approaching. The unchartedness of it all has me uncomfortable.
My biggest fear is that now I messed up things badly... Not knowing is really hard. But then I wonder.. "what bout' MY Star?"
Theres a part of me that's defiantly proclaiming "I deserve the best!!!" (and to me... The reason for the risk IS the best)

whoo finished up my weeklong shift of graveyard. This week went a lot smoother in terms of me knowing what I'm doing. Sleep wise has been terrible. My body did not want to sleep. I had to deal with this crazy drug dealer all wekk which was a big factor in why I couldn't sleep....
I am not so sure this graveyard shift is good for me. Eating wise it's been great! I eat super healthy and have lost 6 pounds since! Social wise? I dunno...The weeks I work always fall onto an event I wanna go to...And the weeks I'm off, there's nothing going on and everyone is too busy for me....phooey :(
On the plus side money is really good. I kinda went nuts and bought a shit load of stuff with my paycheck...I was getting packages left and right each day. Madness. Bought like 9 pairs of shoes or something. Total binge spending so now I'm on my low on spending...I swear I'm bipolar when it comes to spending money..
back to updates....not really an update since its late as hell but whatevs...
i renewed my disneyland pass!! HOORAH!!!! i can resume life now...

July 4th. Oh man, what a great weekend! Andy invited me to a friend's lake house right by Lake Ontario in upstate NY. There were as many as 16 people there, none of whom I knew until that weekend, and it was a great crowd.
We did roughly four things all weekend:
1. Nothing
2. Ate/Cooked
3. Were on A Boat
4. Drank
Drinking commenced as early as about 9:30am, but averaged at around noon. We played board games, charades, studied for the GRE (this became a drinking game), and just generally had a good time talking and enjoying the scenery.
The temperature rarely broke 70 degrees and the winds probably averaged 15-18 mph which was a little dangerous, boating-wise. Waters were choppy and the lake was COLD. I considered swimming until Lake Ontatio assaulted my poor behind and I realized how chilly it was. I baked and read and had a great time with Andy & co.

I based my version off of her game sprite, since it looks more regal and magical and because I'm not a fan of Toriyama's artwork. I'm so happy with how she turned out!

For those of you still following, Iran is coming to the close of day two of the strike period Mousavi has called for. The government is still pulling down the SMS and doing a great deal of work to censor informaiton coming in and out of the country.
If you would like to help
Austin Heap is putting together a protocol for circumventing the government censors, and is putting out a call for funds so that they can get the expertise and bandwidth needed to do it. This is your chance to actually DO something for the uprising in Iran.
LAtimes is reporting that Rafsanjani (the guy who heads the council that elects the supreme leader) has publicly come out against the election results. This is a big step. |

A real update this time! This will take a while; so much to say!
Started working 9-2 yesterday, was doing 10-2 but we open an hour earlier now. Pandora radio at the shop, helps me focus on the job. Fixing computers, for those of you who don't know; bring me your piece if there's a problem. I'll make it right.
Did some shit for the 4th, went to Pelham and got drunk after. Lots of exploding, some celebration and frosted sugar cookies. Top it off with Jager and Bacardi, had a hell of a time.
Looking for a place with the wife, thinking maybe apartments in town. Rent based on income, can't get much better than that.
Got the SR4 book last week, now we can finish converting over. Waiting on my paycheck so I can pick up Unwired Friday. Let's hope it's still there.

| A busy 4th full of burning |

Currently I'm suffering from a little sun poison. I got burnt so badly on the 4th that I've been nothing but sick the last two days. I think my flesh might melt off, and because of that I can not sleep. So you guys get a post! YAY!
First off I made a float for the 4th of July this year. I'll maybe post a photo of it later on that I took on my phone. For now you get early morning photos on the 4th where I'm about to go get people on the float and Danny and Tom are going to go run the Peachtree.
Because the float was for the vet my dog Niki got to come along too!
I also made a big hat for this mascot costume that we had borrowed from merial
After we threw candy at screaming kids and Danny and Tom were done running we hung out at Mary Kays pool for the office 4th of July party. This i were I got burnt. Note in the photo I just look a little pink. By that night I was lobster red and could hardly move.
That night we had a 4th of July Party. It was really relaxed and fun. A big thanks to Allison, Stu, and Tom for attending. This is the best shot of Allison all night!
We started to write out random words that came to mind. Please note that the topics for the most part involve bad words or cats...

I got up at the crack of dawn the next day after a long night of being sick and drug my sorry self out to do a Shoot with Chris and Riki.
Then today i got my film scanner in the mail. I had film developed from me Holga, but never had prints made so I had no idea what I had. Some of the photos are from January and Febuary. I'm still getting a feel for the camera, so here are some of my test shots. Also one roll had some kind of goo on the film and it developed with black spots all over it. For those shots I just left it as is and left all the dust and hairs in the shots. It give it some charm right? ...ok I'm just lazy, but whatever!!!

Oh my, a real post. Of sorts.
I don't think I've actually fallen for anyone in a very long time. It feels like the most interest I can muster is, "Hmm, I'd like to sleep with her."
Two of the host kids from my trip to Japan ended up getting married and having a kid and that is seriously some adorable shit going down. So glad I decided to see if I could find any of them on Facebook. (You'll see a twitter about this but now it will make more sense.)
Turns out we do use a Bloody Mary mix at my bar, but it's custom and not out of a bar, so j'approve.
I cannot remember how long it's been since I used j'approve, verbally or textually.
Tonight was the first night I let both cats hang out without sequestering Tango in the bathroom, and I seem to have come back with the place not on fire or scratched into tiny pieces, so I consider this a success.
I have to work in the morning and should not be typing things for the internet. But they officially taught me how to order now! In other words, showed me how to do things I already know! I might get to use this knowledge all of twice before the assistant manager's back!
The only thing I seem to feel anymore is a spectrum of aggravation. Not happy with that. (haha)
Been eating better. Found some dried soups (Dr. somethingorother's, organic aisle) that are cheap (not as cheap as cup noodle, but still cheap) and AMAZING. Trying to get back down to 150ish by September, maybe lower.

Someone I was with Sunday works for Penn Camera. He had with him this Olympus E-P1 that the store gave him to test out. It is basically the size of a old film rangefinder or larger sized point and shoot for those who have no idea what a rangefinder is. It is not a point and shoot though. It has a 4/3 sized sensor, same as Olympus SLRs. And it has little interchangeable lenses. It's basically a mix of point and shoot with SLR parts on it. You can get one of the kits with a 17mm prime lens that is only 20mm long. This has been the camera I have been dreaming of. I bought a Canon G9 years ago for this reason but didn't like it because it had a grainy sensor and point and shoot focus is atrocious. I want my cameras with focusing rings. This little beast has all of these features. It's not even on the market yet but I am totally buying one as soon as they are available. |

Défilé Laforet Harajuku @ Japan Expo 2009 Really love everything from Black Peace Now in this set... and a lot of the Angelic Pretty and Alice and the Pirates stuff is pretty awesome. Love the corsets and big hair.
... I want to make SO MANY THINGS RIGHT NOW! Must finish things I've already started first though. (currently on the table are Wolverine, Vampire Hunter D, a baby-yellow dot-swiss skirt and Sleeping Beauty...)
I also really want to get dressed up in totally over-the-top lolita, but don't really have a event/destination. <3 |
